Above the Threshold
The ladybug's arrival was one too many for everything to stay in one piece.
This game is about a little ladybug who wakes up amidst ruins. Crawling on walls and using its unusual ability to jump through space, it tries to make its way out into the light.
The game was made in 9 days
I started working on it in the middle of the JAM, around August 24th. I used my prototype from Ludum Dare 54 as the basis. I completely revamped almost everything, including the graphics and mechanics. From the previous version, only some code snippets and the teleportation mechanic remained, which had to be adapted to fit the larger sprite sizes and integrated with the mechanic of climbing on different surfaces.
